With Thanksgiving coming up, start writing down something you’re grateful for every day. Stick the scrap of paper in a jar and open it on Thanksgiving. Read each piece of paper out loud and reflect on just how much you have to be grateful for!

Showing gratitude can be as easy as setting aside a few minutes to write a heartfelt note. Whether it’s a thank you card or a thinking of you note, you can express so much gratitude through your words. A note is also something tangible the recipient can refer back to whenever they want.
Acts of Service
Taking time to serve the people you appreciate in life is another great way to show your gratitude. You can volunteer to take on tasks they don’t like to do or have trouble doing. You could also just commit to doing a random act of kindness each month. No matter how you decide to serve, know that you will be appreciated!

In order to become a more thoughtful, grateful person, you have to practice. Expressing gratitude is a great way to do that! Think about others and what they may have given up to help you. Always be appreciative!

Small gifts are another great way to show gratitude. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. Give someone a plate of their favorite cookies or bring them their favorite drink. A little effort goes a long way!
