There are so many vacation hotspots out there, and summer only lasts so long. What type of vacation do you choose? Where do you go? This vacation guide will help you decide.

Staycation

When you’re ready for some time away from the daily grind but your budget isn’t, a staycation is the perfect thing for you. They can be as short or as long as you want, and they can be jam packed with activities or laid back. Generally, staycations are cheaper than traveling somewhere because you have a lot of options of where you can stay. You can get a cheap local’s rate at a hotel, maybe stay at a campground, or you can just hang out at home. The great thing about this type of vacation is that you can do literally whatever you want. Staycations give you the opportunity to play tourist in your own town, go check out something you’ve never been to before. Try a new restaurant, go to the theater and see a show, or try out that new bar. Feeling like staying in? Relax by the pool or take a nap. A staycation is perfect for the busy bee that needs a quick getaway.

Road trip

If you love to explore, heading out on the open road is the thing for you. You have the freedom to determine how long you’re gone, where you go, and how fast you get there. There are so many historic places to see in America like Mount Rushmore, the Great Lakes, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, the list goes on and on. The best part is you can travel at your own pace and make as many stops as you’d like. Pack light and be open to anything that comes your way and you’ll have a blast.

Cruise

Are you ready for some major relaxing? Going on a cruise is perfect if you want to just sit back and forget about the world. They are all inclusive so you don’t have to worry about meals, entertainment, or getting to the destination. There aren’t huge crowds you have to worry about with the limited amount of passengers on the ship. And when you reach the ports there are tons of excursions you can check out. Just pick your destination, whether it be tropical or arctic and sail away into the horizon.

Theme park

Are you a thrill seeker? Theme parks have the best roller coaster rides and magical characters to get your heart racing. It’s the perfect place for the whole family because they normally have rides for all ages, performances and shows to watch, and plenty of snack stands to keep everyone satisfied. The nice thing about theme parks is that they have all day admission so if you need some time to recoup you can go back home or to the hotel and come back whenever you’d like. Season passes give you a lot of bang for your buck and often come with food rewards along with the unlimited access to the park. You also get to work on your summer body by getting tan waiting in the lines and toned by walking from one end of the park to the other. By the next day, you’re ready to hit the beach.
