If you’re anything like me, I am all about simplicity. Quick and easy is the way to go. Juggling life, kids, work, and everything else is time consuming. I’ve compiled a list of three ingredient recipes to make life easier. Desserts for when your kid needs a last minute treat for school, make ahead, or quick breakfast ideas, and speedy dinners on those hectic days. Here are some of my favorites.

Dessert Ideas

Brownies are delicious and often times a go to dessert for me on the weekends. Of course, I tend to buy the brownie mix box—quick and easy right? Well if I don’t have the box here is an alternative. One jar of Nutella, two eggs, and a half cup of flour makes delicious brownies. If you have nuts, chocolate chips or anything else you want to add in go for it. Mix all these together and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. And done. Read more about this here.

Instead of brownies, how about some peanut butter cookies? Combine one cup peanut butter, one large egg, and ¾ cup of sugar. Roll into balls and bake at 350 for eight to ten minutes. Yum!

Breakfast Ideas

How about some delicious light bagels? The great thing about these is you can make enough for one day or enough to last you the week. Make breakfast sandwiches, toast them with cream cheese, or have them with jam. Either way, the bagels are quick and easy. For these you’ll need 1-3/4 cups of self-rising flour, one cup of Greek yogurt, and one beaten egg. Find the full set of instructions here.

Banaggs

If not make ahead bagels, there are always banana pancakes. The ingredients you will need are two small bananas, two eggs, and one cup of oats. Some optional ingredients include ½ teaspoon each of baking soda, cinnamon, salt and vanilla extract. Find full instructions here.

Dinner Ideas

Lazy lasagna has a ring to it doesn’t it? You will have to plan a little ahead for this one because specific ingredients are required. But if you have these dinner ingredients on hand it will make life so much easier. You will need a 25 ounce bag of frozen ravioli, one 24 ounce jar of marinara sauce, and two cups of mozzarella cheese. You will make layers starting with marinara, ravioli, cheese and repeat until done. Then bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes and delicious lasagna for dinner is done. Here are the full instructions.

Easy orange chicken sauce requires one cup BBQ sauce, one cup marmalade, and two tablespoons of Soy Sauce. Cover your chicken with this sauce for a quick and easy oriental dish. Find more info here for the complete recipe.
